When is Easter 2007?
Easter 2007 will take place on April the 8th, and in order to understand more about Easter 2007 and Easter in general, we must take a look at the history of the holiday, so that we can come to a more informed and more knowledgeable understanding on the issue overall. Easter 2007 is just as important as any other Easter, however there are also certain aspects of Easter 2007 that are different from others, and these aspects will have to be discussed as well.
What Easter is
In the olden times, Christian monks were very good at explaining their religion to those who had not heard of God or Jesus Christ before, and they almost always took symbols of significance of the people that they were teaching, and they then used those symbols to teach about God.
Easter traditions differ across the world, and for instance, the ancient Saxons celebrated the return of spring with an uproarious festival commemorating their goddess of offspring and of springtime, Easter. When the second-century Christian missionaries encountered the tribes of the north with their pagan celebrations, they attempted to convert them to Christianity; they did so however, in a clandestine manner.
About Easter 2007
In the year of 2007, there is going to be an Easter egg roll and celebration on the lawn of the White House, and children are able to come on the Monday after Easter and roll eggs down the lawn; this is a celebration which has been going on since 1994, and the children really love it. It is fun, and they get to stand and run around on the lawn of the White House, which is obviously incredibly awing, especially for children.
